In this week’s episode of “On the Road with Noble Outfitters,” we visited Dennards Farm Supply in Whitesboro, Texas.
“On the Road with Noble Outfitters” host and Noble Outfitters CEO Dan Costa welcomed us into the massive store. It must be true that everything is bigger in Texas because the store that Dan visited has over 65,000 sq ft! They sell everything from Western wear, tack, saddles, to animal health and power equipment. On top of that, Dennards has another three locations in the heart of Horse Country USA: Pilot Point, TX and two stores in Sherman, TX.
Dan introduced us to owners Tim and Courtney Ferguson. Tim shared the fascinating story of the company: Dennards is a family-owned business, which began in 1890 in Sadler, Texas. Since then, the store has been passed down through four generations and is still going strong.
Noble Child of Tomorrow was a 12-years old barrel racer, Karsyn Daniels. This spunky Western rider has been barrel racing since she was 4 – she simply can’t imagine sitting on a couch all day!
Finally, Becky Thompson presented the Recipe of the Week – amazing Spicy BBQ Baby Back Ribs. Becky talked about the careful preparation of the rub and how to make the ribs tender and not chewy – yummy! She also makes her own barbecue sauce with adobe chilies. Get the mouthwatering recipe HERE.
At the end of the episode Dan found a new “toy.” Is he going to carry it all the way home? Watch the full episode below to find out!
