RFD-TV’s weekly show “On the Road with Noble Outfitters” has been traveling across the United States, visiting various farm and feed stores and talking about their past, present and future in the community. In this week’s episode of “On the Road with Noble Outfitters,” we visited Murdoch’s Ranch and Home Supply in Bozeman, Montana.
Rick Ungersma and Chris Odegard from Murdoch’s Ranch and Home Supply welcomed Dan Costa, “On the Road with Noble Outfitters” host and Noble Outfitters CEO. After discussing the beauty of local mountains, Rick and Chris told Dan about the history of Murdoch’s. Rick, the current President and CEO of the company started as a buyer back in 1994. He worked directly with the founder John Murdoch. Learning from the best, now he’s single-handedly overseeing 30 retail stores spread over five states.
Chris then talked about various categories of items they carry at Murdoch’s, from tack to pet food and sporting goods. The sales floor is usually busy with helpful staff (you can easily recognize them in embroidered vests with Murdoch’s logo) and there is always someone nearby to answer your question, in case you have trouble locating your favorite pair of jeans among the 120 feet of shelves full of jeans from floor to ceiling. And if you won’t find a pair of jeans to your liking, visit murdochs.com and shop online not only for apparel but also for tack, tools and hardware, sporting goods, power equipment and more.
Noble Child of Tomorrow was 11-year-old sharpshooter Hayden Lewis. For fun, she practices shooting every Thursday at the shooting range, after that she helps at home to feed numerous animals. No wonder Hayden wants to be a vet when she grows up! She already has a bank account and she plans to spend it on fishing gear and hunting gear, so Dan gave her a crisp $100 bill to add to her savings.
Steven Potratz presented Recipe of the Week. The Training Manager of Murdoch’s trained Dan how to make beef jerky! A true pioneer recipe from the times when people were moving across the West with no fridge, jerky is a great and tasty way to prepare meat. Sounds like a great idea? Get the recipe HERE.
